Kosovo's post office has launched the new post stamp show dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America during a ceremony held in Pristina.
At this event, the US Embassy's deputy head in Pristina, Anu Prattipati, has praised Kosovo for meaning the value of sovereignty and democracy, naming this initiative a symbol of friendship between the two countries.
Meanwhile, incumbent Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Albin Kurti has stressed strengthening the partnership between Kosovo and the United States of America, naming the stamp as a symbol of this friendship.
He has stressed that, beyond the US jubilee note, this stamp represents affirmation of excellent reports between the two countries and the decisive support the US has given Kosovo in the statehood processes.
Even beyond this important date, this stamp serves a symbolic affirmation of strong partnership and excellent reports between our two countries. The continued support of the United States for Kosovo has been crucial to our statehood and the consolidation of democratic institutions, and this support continues to play a vital role in our country's security and development. Honored in attendance, when our offspring celebrate on July 4th 2076 the 300th anniversary of the independence of the United States, we may not be, and maybe even the postal stamps will be. But one thing is certain, our alliance, the partnership between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States of America, will continue to live, as strong and stable as it is today, Albin Kurti stressed.
On behalf of the US Embassy in Kosovo, the deputy head of the mission, Anu Prattipati, has thanked the Kosovo Post for this initiative, calling it an honor for the American people.
