Iran agrees to eliminate uranium 'in principle'

Iran's uranium, which is almost suitable for weapons, has so far resulted in a sticking point in negotiations, but Reuters news agency is now quoting an unidentified American official as saying Tehran has agreed to"in principle"to drop its reserve.
The administration's top official Trump said the US understands Iran's Supreme Leader has adopted the overall model of the agreement.
There was no immediate confirmation from Iran or clarification of what a"principled"agreement meant, writes Skynews.
Iranian sources told Reuters that in the next phases of the talks, feasible"forms can be found to resolve the issue, including the framing of uranium under the supervision of UN nuclear overseer, Telegrafi reports, Periscopi broadcast.
Iran reportedly has 440.9kg of uranium enriched to 60% purity, placing it a short technical step from weapons levels of 90%.
Tehran has long denied that it is aiming to produce nuclear weapons and says it has the right to enrich uranium for civilian purposes.
However, the level of purity it has achieved far exceeds what is needed for energy production. /Periscope
