Heavy incident in Italy: Invasion strikes pedestrians, 7 person arrested by 31-year-old Moroccan native

A serious incident occurred in Modena, Italy, where a high - speed car has hit a crowd of pedestrians in the restricted traffic area.
Italian police announced that they arrested the driver, a man in his late 30s, reports Reuters, broadcast Periscope.
However, four people are in serious condition, said the mayor, Massimo Mezatti, of broadcaster RaiNews24.
The driver is an Italian citizen born in Bergamo, originally North Africa and resident of the Modena area, the mayor added.
"Apparently (the driver) deliberately went onto the sidewalk, hitting some people and crashing into a store window. Then he got out of his car and he pulled a knife", said Mezzit.
A man who tried to stop the driver suffered minor injuries, the mayor said.
A witness told RaiNews24 that he heard people fall and jump to the ground as the car approached. He said the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, although authorities have not confirmed that.
"Express my solidarity with those who were injured and their families", Prime Minister Giorgia Melon posted on the social network X.
Whatever happened in Modenna is extremely serious", Melon added. /Periscope/
