Haxhiu invites EU to send observer mission for June 7th elections

The country's U.D. president, Albulen Haxhiu, has invited the European Union to send the Monitoring Mission for the June 7th elections.
Haxhiu has been addressed with letter to European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas, where he has made an invitation to send the election observer mission.
U.D. President Haxhiu has stressed that the presence of the EU Monitoring Mission would contribute to transparency, credibility and the integrity of the election process, in line with the continued commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to democratic standards and free elections, it is said among other things in communiqués.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulen Haxhiu, has sent a letter to European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy High Representative, at the same time European Commission Vice President Kaya Kallas, through whom she has invited the European Union to submit Election Monitors Mission for early elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, scheduled for June 7th 2026.
In her letter, U.D. President Haxhiu has stressed that, in accordance with constitutional responsibilities, has issued the decision on setting the date of early elections. Given the importance of this process, it has invited the European Union to, through an independent Monitoring Mission, convey and assess the development of elections.
U.D. President Haxhiu has stressed that the presence of the EU's Monitoring Mission would contribute to transparency, credibility and integrity of the election process, in line with the continued commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to democratic standards and free elections.
The Republic of Kosovo has consistently praised the European Union's role in supporting democratic institutions and advancing electoral standards. The invitation to send the Monitor Mission is to continue this institutional practice and express Kosovo's commitment to an open, transparent and reliable election process.
