He was coming from Austria to Kosovo, Besnik Mehej: Serbian police insulated the shell in the car, demanded money for release

Faithful Mahaj has faced an unexpected and unlikely situation as he arrived in Kosovo.
Along with his nephew, he took his way from Austria to Kosovo to stop for several hours on Serbia's Subotic territory.
In a statement to IndexOnline, Mahaj suggested that he and his grandson were trapped by Serbian police, only to get money from them.
The “have investigated that we have money, so why didn't we mention it? They stopped us and told us they had to search the car. We were driving plates from the Republic of Kosovo. Then they returned with a bullet shell. We found this under the chair. They took us in and in, and they started to scare us and tell us everything.
I know that the shell of the bullet is placed alone, to scare us and cause us trouble. The brother's son became afraid. He was scared, told “ki to get 2 to 8 years in prison”. My brother's son was constantly intimidated by the fact that the police from Belgrade would deal directly with him, while they allowed me to speak. I did not fear that each time I was taken money; times 20, 30, times 50 euros” declared Mahaj.
According to him, three Serbian police officers told him to go, while the grandson was initially accompanied to the station. Unless they paid a lot of money, they'd be released.
Mahaj claimed they were forced to pay 400 euros for each of the police officers so that they would not be arrested, sent to prison, and tortured.
I was first released, and my brother's son was sent to prison tonight. I told you I could give you 500 euros, only to release the boy. The brother's son said “I give them 1,000 euros, let me go. They consulted and came and demanded 1200 euros. We gave them 1200 euros and we were released. We were not controlled further, nor did they confiscated anything” said Mahaj.
Although he had traveled through Serbia earlier, this had not happened before. Mahaj wanted to advise everyone not to go through Serbia's territory, as their intentions are to persecute Albanians mentally and physically.
