CNN founder Ted Turner changes lives at 87 years of age

One of Ted Turner's best-known media figures, who revolutionised the news industry with the creation of a 24-hour CNN news channel, has passed away at the age of 87, the news network has reported.
Turner founded"Cable News Network", known as CNN in 1980, making it the first channel dedicated to continuous news. This step marked a major change in how the news was broadcast and consumed, turning it back CNN in one of the most important sources of information in the world.
In a statement, CNN Executive Director and CNN Chairman Mark Thompson praised Turner as an extraordinary and visionary leader.
“Ted was a very dedicated and engaged leader, bold and always willing to support his intuition and judgment,” said Thompson.
