AAK to compete alone in June 7th elections

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo will compete alone in the June 7th elections.
He has made it known about Online Economy, former AAK President Besnik Tahiri, broadcasting Periscope.
Although there have been coalition discussions, Tahiri says the AAK, which has earlier made its position clear.
Tahiri said the subject would compete with a list, as he called it, <x0 competing”.
“Tomorrow is May 7th, is the last day the coalitions are certified. I can warn you that the Alliance will compete alone, there will be no coalition. We will be as political subjects with a beautiful, competitive list of the Alliance, but with others, and in this race we go like the Alliance, we go on our own. No coalition”, he said.
He argued that the AAK is more powerful when alone.
There's been discussions, but before we knew that the Alliance was racing. The alliance is stronger when it competes with its logo, when racing with its own cause and lessons of the past show that we have not had a good time with coalitions. I think this time the Alliance will get the best result it has ever had in central elections”, he said.
Tahiri did not mention names of parties with which there may have been discussions on the pre-election coalition.
“Dictions have not been formal, had ideas before, but we were accurate and defined that we would be competing by”, Tahiri said. As for the candidate's list, he did not provide much detail, except for the prime minister's candidate, which, according to him, would be Ardian Gjini. “is originally the candidate for prime minister, which is different, while a large number of names are letting it be seen tomorrow when the Alliance's list is published. However, there will be many innovations”, he added.
The Central Election Commission has announced that the seven-day deadline has started on 1 May and will be completed on 7 May 2026.
During this period, all political parties registered in the Republic of Kosovo are obliged to report the CEC, through the Office for Recording, Certificate and Financial Control of Political Subjects, regarding participation in elections, non-participation or forming coalitions.
