A4 unit KEK operating stop: shortages being covered by Albania

The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has announced that the Kosovo A4 thermal power utility Kosova A has been shut down by operation, as a result of water flows into the furnace, specifically in the area of overheaters.
The plant's professional staff has estimated that the entity's ban has been necessary and in full compliance with technical and security standards, as noted, with the aim of preventing major and unpredictable damage to equipment.
A considerable portion of the lack of energy capacities are reportedly provided by Albania.
“Meanwhile, thanks to continued co-operation between the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) and the Albanian Energy Corporation (KESH), in such situations a significant portion of the capacity missing through the power exchange with KESH, until the return of the unit to operation, contributing to the preservation of the electricity supply stability”, the report said.
According to the announcement once technical conditions are created, after the entity cooling, the precise identification of the source of leaks will be made, after which the sanitary process will reportedly begin immediately.
