11 years of burial in Kumanovo

Thousands of citizens from Kosovo and other Albanian lands, 11 years ago, gave their last farewell to eight Kosovars killed during armed clashes in Kumanovo, northern Macedonia. At a ceremony held in Pristina, the fallen were honoured as martyrs by war associations, family members, and members of the iss h - KLA.
After the hostesses and the memorial academy held in October “1st, October”, Xhafer Zymber's troops, Mirsad Nllecaj, Valon Kabashi, Turgaj Gashi, Samid Kastriot, Hysen Rushit, Fatlum Visegrad and Arben Rejajt were delivered to the last residence at the Witnesses' cemetery complex in Pristina.
The mortore ceremony, held in the presence of thousands of citizens, was accompanied by former Kosovo Liberation Army members dressed in KLA uniforms, who stood near coffins covered with national flags. In their hands were pictures of those killed, presented as KLA fighters.
The Organising Council stressed that those killed in the events of May 9th and 10th in Kumanovo were honoured as nation martyrs. However, only a few deputies from the Vetevendosje Movement and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo were missing at the ceremony.
Some of those killed had been part of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the Liberation Army for Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanoc, as well as the National Liberation Army during the 2001 war in Macedonia.
