Trump writes to Osman: Courageous Leadership for Kosovo, I expect to continue co-operation

The news was made public by Osman himself through a post, where he stressed the importance of strong relations between Kosovo and the United States.

In her response, Osmani said that Kosovo's “strong attachment to America will be kept together, today, the constant”, thanking Trump for the letter and assessment of the work of Kosovo institutions.

She added she welcomes the continuation of co-operation in the years ahead.

I thank President Trump for the letter sent at the end of my mandate, which I accepted last night, as well as the appreciation he did for our work! As the President of the United States points out, we welcome the continuation of co-operation in the years that followed --” -- Osmani wrote.

In the letter sent by the White House, Trump praises Osman's leadership, naming it courageous and decisive in serving Kosovo's citizens.

He thanks him for close co-operation during the term, and stresses that Kosovo has played an important role in the peace and stability initiatives.

Trump cites especially co-operation under initiatives for peace, underlining that Kosovo's involvement is promising for the outcome of conflicts and promoting freedom and prosperity.

Following the letter, he expresses confidence that Osman's legacy will affect the future of Kosovo, the Balkan region and wider Europe.

The American president adds that Kosovo has been a reliable partner of the United States and expresses a desire for continued co-operation in the years ahead. /Periscope
