The incident occurred near the town of Hillerrod, north of Copenhagen, where two local trains crashed under still unclear circumstances.
A spokesman for the Fire Department said there were passengers injured, but did not elaborate on their number or situation. According to him, all passengers have been taken off trains and there are no people trapped.

Meanwhile, according to the Danish newspaper Ektrabladet, preliminary information appears in 5 to 10 people injured by the accident.

Police reported that the accident took place on the railway line between Hillerrod and Kagerup, in the Isterodween area.
