According to the official announcement, this decision was taken after professional assessments that identify the burdened state of certain structures and potential risks for visitors.
The ministry lets it know that danger zones will be marked and limited until an upcoming announcement.
Likewise, giving in to the use of fortress spaces for activities by organisations, cultural initiatives and independent artists has been suspended to stabilise the situation and create secure conditions.
“Public will be announced in time for any further development and possible reopening terms. We seek the understanding of all citizens and interested parties, stressing that this decision is in service to preserve one of the most important monuments of our heritage and the safety of visitors”, the announcement noted. /Periscope
