Fire risk increases, Emergency Management Agency appeals for maximum care over summer

This agency has called on citizens to avoid any action that might cause fire, such as lighting wild fires or throwing hot waste. In addition, immediate reporting of each case in emergency numbers 112, 193 and 192 are required, as well as a commitment to aid in cases of fires at risk of spread.

The agency has stressed that firefighters, whether intentional or carelessly, are criminal acts and are punished by law. The announcement calls for joint awareness and civic co-operation, praising that only through early response can the consequences be avoided and the environment protected.

Honored citizens, since we have entered the summer season that is supposed to be marked by high air temperatures affecting increased risk for showing and spreading fire to open surfaces, mountains and fields and with the aim of turning fire, protecting the lives of citizens, property, animals and environment”.
