Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama has visited Athens, where he met with Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
He said they support Albania on the difficult road towards the European Union.
It's always a pleasure to welcome you to Athens, dear Eddie. It is always good to make an assessment of the important progress that has been achieved in our bilateral relations and our continued support for the difficult path you are pursuing towards the EU. But I also believe we have an important opportunity to resolve unresolved issues in our bilateral relations and strengthen a true friendship”, Mitsotakis said.
Meanwhile, the Albanian government chief spoke of a joint partnership document to address all bilateral issues.
Rama also cited the country's membership in the European Union.
“We are determined to finalise what we have agreed together, a joint strategic partnership document, where all issues are agreed and there are no misunderstood issues between us, so we want to join you in the EU and make this region more relevant on that table”, Rama said. /a2cnn
