Position-opposital clash blocks vote for Peace Board

The commission's chairman, LV deputy Arbene Kryeziu-Hysen, stressed the need to form this working group, as she said, to reshape that paragraph, since it must be known that it is about restoring a reliable government and ensuring lasting peace in the affected or threatened areas of conflict, Kosovapress reports Periscope.
According to her, this does not mean they are against the agreement, nor are former President Vjosa Osmani's merits for her commitment, but stressed that all provisions of the agreement must be clarified. In her view, even if it is consistent with the laws and directives of the European Union.
She reacted to the commission member from the LDK ranks, MP Lutfi Haziri. According to him, for Kosovo's membership on the Peace Board there have been differences between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and former President Vjosa Osmani.
According to Kryezius, however, the insistence on clarifying Article two of the bill has nothing to do with it.
MP involved in the debate PDK, Elmi Recica, who stressed the need to approve this international agreement on the commission. According to him, it is a board exceeding European size.
Meanwhile, AAK deputy Time Kadrijaj said Kosovo should feel privileged to have received an invitation for membership on the Peace Board.
The commission decided that the processing group will meet next week to harmonise and agree to the bill. Kosovo has received an invitation for membership at the Peace Board on January 22nd, 2026. /Periscope/
