According to the announcement, on April 15, 2026, around 8:00, the border police units have banned a suspected vehicle at the Presevo Gjilan magistrate, who had illegally entered from Serbia on Kosovo territory.
During the van's search, which was run by a Serbian citizen, 15 cages with a total of 150 birds have been found for which the leader did not possess documentation of origin.
In the case, the vehicle and goods have been seized and the case has been processed for further treatment in Kosovo Customs.
Police have stressed that it remains committed to fighting smuggling and other illegal phenomena, with the aim of ensuring order and security in the country.
