Hamza awaits the Terras Eurodeput: Functional institutions and restoring partner confidence, priority for Kosovo

The president of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, hosted the rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament today, Eurodeputt Riho Terras.
During the meeting, political developments in the country, the European integration process and the necessity of overcoming institutional stalemate were discussed.
Hamza thanked rapporteur Riho Terras for his continued commitment and for the European Parliament's latest report on Kosovo, praising confirmation that Kosovo's future is in the European Union, as well as support for Kosovo's application for membership.
Chairman Hamza and Euro-deputet Terras estimated that the European Parliament report is an important message of support for Kosovo, but also a call that the country will not lose time due to domestic political crises and delays in functionalisation of institutions.
Mayor Hamza stressed that the Democratic Party of Kosovo shares the concern expressed in the report regarding the inability to create fully functional institutions for a long period.
He stressed that Kosovo needs functional institutions that make decisions, implement reforms and rebuild trust with international partners.
“Stability should not only mean forming institutions, but also democratic governance, political dialogue and respect of the Constitution”, Hamza said.
Chairman The PDK, Bedri Hamza, expressed gratitude for the role of Eurodeput Riho Terras and the European Parliament as powerful supporters of Kosovo and our aspirations for membership in the European Union./ Periscope.
