Gashi has said he has spoken openly within the party about the problems he has considered, however, says action has been taken, although in reality it has been found to exist.
Gashi has said there is a huge gap between LDK and voters, so the party needs leadership and new energy.
Full response:
After publishing the new LDK leadership, I've received many phone calls and messages from you and the media. So I'm clearly saying:
I am not part of the new LDK leadership.
Since the end of the February 2025 elections, I have spoken openly within the LDK structures about the situation in the party and the loss of internal confidence. I have proposed concrete actions to distance from irregularities and create a new, comprehensive, competitive and clear vision.
These proposals did not find support in the vote, even though the reality was accepted in question.
I refused exceptions and sought unity. Not for individuals but for an idea: that a party aiming to lead must first be united and fair to itself.
Even after the December 2025 elections, where the result was not the one deserving of the LDK, I again presented analysis and concrete breakthroughs. Another route chosen. I accept this as a political fact, but not as the end of my beliefs.
Today I say without a dilemma:
The gap between the LDK and voters is no coincidence is the result of a lack of courage to change over time.
A political cycle is over.
The LDK needs a new cycle, with new leadership and energy, with confidence restored on its authentic values.
Because:
Faith is not required.
Hope does not promise build.
The change does not wait.
Today, Kosovo lacks more than anything else faith and hope. He needs a policy that accepts reality but builds the future. It needs a sincere commitment that turns the citizen into the center, needs the real values of LDK.
I believe these values can be returned. And that's what I'm going to do without hesitation.
Will the LDK find the strength to do so?
This remains to be seen.
I'll continue to be where I've always been:
on the side of principles, voters and truth.
You good priests!
