Kurti Séji answers Abdixhik for Osman's presidential name, on LVV repeat the request for “tre names”

The LVV asked the PDK and the LDK for three names for president, such as the <x0-concret and commoner” proposal for resolving this issue that is threatening to bring the country back to the polls. LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku presented Albin Kurti's name to Vjosa Osmani. He asked the prime minister for assurance that 66 majority deputies would vote on him. [...]
It may have seemed that, after last year's parliamentary elections, Kosovo was moving towards a breakthrough from the political stalemate which conveyed the country throughout 2025.
But now the country seems to be heading towards new elections, once again, for the third time in about a year and a half, writes Express, broadcast Periscopi.
After the transition of the Assembly and the formation of the new government, the impasse now came to the election of the new president. Prime Minister Albin Kurti's party did not give support to President Vjosa Osmani for even a mandate in the chair of the chief of state, while this responsibility was tried to share it with opposition parties, who were accused of also wanting its re-election.
Instead of Osman, for the position of head of state Kurti in March, decided to run Glauk Konjufka, his position in the party and government.
After discussions on the president's election failed to go as he wished, Kurt addressed citizens with a video published on Facebook on Friday.
In discussions on the president's election, Kurti on Friday evening accused opposition parties of blocking. He said the will expressed in the elections was not being respected, while he warned another blockade even after the new elections.
“Since the main problem remains the need for 80 deputies for quorum to the president's case, the elections will not bring a solution. The outcome of the elections should be accepted and respected, because it represents the will of citizens and the basis of democracy. Movement V (LVV) has secured most of the votes and deputies, so it requires that this outcome be taken into account in political processes and decision making. If we go to elections in June, and LVV with partners ( GUXO, the alternative minority) does not reach 80 deputies, then we will go to the elections again in autumn or winter. Who does this mean?
Kurti had made offers to the opposition parties, offering the position of Speaker of the Parliament and for the president's post to meet his party.
He complained that the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League of Kosovo in their meetings offered no name for president.
That evening on Friday, the LVV held a meeting of headship, and yesterday morning came up with another idea: asked the PDK and LDK-0a that “together propose three names, from which the new president from the 10-x1> legislature could be elected. This proposal was considered “concret and commoner”.
LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku asked Kurti yesterday afternoon to determine whether he wants to deal with this party, or “wants 90 votes with PDK as well as”.
More specifically, he said they could propose Vjosa Osmani if LVV guarantees 66 majority votes for him.
Honored Prime Minister Kurti, since we are communicating in distance, please determine whether you want political agreements with the LDK, or you want 90 votes with the PDK. If that's the second one and you can't without them, then we can't help you. When you agree, we treat it. But if you want political agreement with LDK, then talk to us. We propose the president with full responsibility. We can also propose Vjosa Osman, if you guarantee us 66 votes for him. Thank you.”, he wrote on a Facebook post.
LVV MP Mefail Bajqinovci reacted first with a video asking again LDK and PDK “three names for superparty president”.
This is the time. Send three names. Three names are required if you have them. We withdraw our names”, he said in the video published last night on Facebook. He said that “top is at you”, referring to the two largest opposition parties.
His associate, LVV deputy Arberes Kryeziu, shortly after Bajcinovci told Abdixhik that “is not knowing whether our Prime Minister Kurti will respond and when”.
He reiterated the LVV's decision to request “names” for president, while citing their proposal: Glauk Conjufe. In a situation when the opposition would propose three names and LVV would keep Konjufka as candidate, deputy prime minister and deputy leader of the ruling party would get the 61 votes needed in the third round of voting, and the president would be elected.
“3 names that are unifying figures, with high civic and national integrity, with contributions witnessed to professional and social life, and outside the current political scene -- this was LVVA's new offer. We are convinced that after the ideal solution, that is, Murat Jashari, the best and most skilled candidate and with broad popular support for President of Republic, Glauk Konjufca, who was voted by 318 thousand citizens compare this to the complete LDKCE vote for which 126 thousand citizens voted, so 2.5 times less! But since this is being rejected because Glauk is LVV, we took another step. With three candidates in the race that you would propose together with the PDK as opposition, we would obviously be over 80 deputies as the threshold for the quorum. This was an offer for the opposition to take the shit out of finding three consensual candidates, with national merit and value, while the Movement is supporting you to carry out the act. So, you together propose candidates, we support. This is the offer of solutions, while any refusal or attitude otherwise indicates that you do not want solutions, but the choice”, the MP wrote.
LDK parliamentary group chief Jehona Lusaku said the LVV, which loved the names, already has a name referring to Vjosa Osmani and asked whether the majority deputies would vote.
Did you want names? Your name is. Call her if you have 66 votes.
Elvis Hoxha, a member of LVV, said in a video published today on Facebook that LDK “has not given” votes for Vjosa Osmani president.
Speaking from a cafe somewhere, he cited the new parliamentary elections as a done job, while calling the opposition “the target of the deadlock”.
He also accused the media, which, according to him, “will never want to have Kosovo's policy unblocked and rule”.
If the new president is not elected by Tuesday, Kosovo will hold new elections within 45 days.
