“Haxhi has only 10 days to set the election date”

Eugen Cakoli from KDI has stated that Presidential Task Agent Albulen Haxhiu has 10 days to set the election date, following consultation with political parties and the CEC. Through a Facebook post, Cacol also stresses that early elections should be held within 45 days but not earlier than [...]
Through a Facebook post, Cacol also stresses that early elections should be held within 45 days, but not more than 30 days, by the distribution of the Parliament.
“Anyway, the 10-day deadline of the U.D. Presidents for election proclamation do not postpone the deadline for holding them, which may only be May 31st or June 7th”, he wrote
But according to Calcol, going to new elections alone produces the following institutional consequences:
With the distribution of the Assembly, the government's mandate has ended.
From last night's midnight, the Government is considered in resignations, and its activity is only limited to necessary and budget-planned work (which has had numerous shortcomings) and the annual plan (which is not public). The government can no longer propose new bills, strategies or other political documents, cannot initiate appointments in public positions, and cannot undertake international agreements seeking ratification from the Assembly.
The bills in parliamentary procedure return to zero point.
There were about 30 bills in the country under consideration. With the legislative distribution, these do not continue any further, since the entire legislative process must resume from zero points after the constitution and formation of the new government.
Reports of independent institutions remain unattended.
No annual report of independent institutions reporting to the Assembly has been approved. With the lack of a functional framework, these reports remain pending and are not addressed until the new legislature is created, unable to bring about the account.
So, until the elections are held and the establishment of new institutions will take at least three to four months. The state will be on pause”.
