Serbia Continues Old Kosovo Arrest on Borders

Serbia's state is continuing the old duty of arresting Kosovars at border points. By July 1st, Serbian authorities have detained in Mutivoda Osman Selmanin, with claims that he was in the KLA and that he is involved as a suspect in the “murder of a Serb couple in Pristina”.
It was Selmani's family who initially told of his detention by Serbian authorities, until later Serbia's Interior Ministry has announced his arrest and confirmed that the same was assigned the detention measure by a top court in Belgrade for 30 days.
Family members have denied the Serbian side's claims, while the KLA's OVL has also reacted to the arrest. Veterans have named the arrest a political act by Serbia, and have confirmed that Osman Selmani does not figure out as veteran of KLA.
This is not the first time Serbia has stopped at its Kosovo border. Even in the past, several arrests have occurred. This has led Kosovo to sometimes make calls to avoid passing through Serbia.
