Hashim Thaci, born 24 April 1968, was the fifth president of the Republic of Kosovo.
He was Kosovo's first prime minister, foreign minister and deputy prime minister in the cabinet led by Isa Mustafa, who took office on 12 December 2014.
Thaci was also the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).
It was established in line as political leader of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK).
