Europol has also announced that it has backed the law enforcement authorities in Germany over the investigation targeting persons with potential links.
“This action day resulted in the arrest of twelve suspects (four in Germany), including a High Value Target (SHVL) captured in Montenegro”, the report said.
The “Investment, which was supported by authorities in Austria and Spain, focused on a criminal network involved in international drug trafficking (cocaine and cannabis) on a large scale. The suspects, living in Montenegro and Germany, are believed to have played different roles within the criminal organisation, from funders to co-ordinators and logistics”, Europol reports.
