From the Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica, it has been confirmed for Kosovo that the request for the appointment of the detention measure to 27 persons has been submitted.
“For 27 people we applied, in Vushtrri, Mitrovica and Skenderaj”, Prosecutor's spokesman Valon Preteni has declared.
On Saturday, Kosovo Police and the Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica held a broad action against pyramid crimes and illegal gambling in Mitrovica, Skenderaj, Vushtrri and Istog.
According to the joint announcement, 50 different locations have been checked during the operation, including local business and private homes.
During the raids, about 170 thousand euros of cash have been seized, five vehicles, firearms, and other equipment allegedly used for illegal activities.
Among the 34 persons arrested, 29 were sent to the detention.
