President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Iran has agreed on “most of the” list of 15 points of requests the United States conveyed through Pakistan to end the war.
Asked if Iran responded to these points, the president told reporters aboard Air Force One: “They accepted most of the points. Why wouldn't they accept us?
They agree with us on the plan. We asked for 15 things, and for the most part, we're going to look for a few more”, Trump went on, writes CNN, and it's taking a look.
Trump said that when he spoke to Iran last week, which gave the US a “gift”, there were “10 large oil vessels”.
And today they gave us another gift. We were given 20 oil vessels that would start being transported tomorrow”, he said.
We're having very good meetings, both directly and indirectly, and I think we're getting a lot of very important points”, Trump continued.
Trump also claimed there was “changing regime” in Iran during the course of the war.
We've had regime change, if you look at it already, because a regime was destroyed, destroyed, everyone's dead”, the president told reporters.
As CNN has reported earlier, the 15-point plan is believed to include: Iran's commitment not to nuclear weapons, the handover of highly enriched uranium, restrictions on Tehran's defence capabilities, the end of regional mediated groups and the reopening of Hormuz Strait. /Periscope
