ATK says that in January-June 2026 more ran before 2025 and 2024

So Kosovo Tax Administration Director Mentor Hyseni announced during the presentation of the six-month report for 2026 in Pristina on Friday.

According to him, increased incomes in this period have exceeded the results of the same period of time in the 1920 ' s and 2024, while increased tax rates constitute more than 37 percent of tax revenues.

According to the data presented by Hyseni, the number of checks has increased by 35.7 percent, while the identification of tax evasion has doubled. Also, according to him, field visits have increased from 11,000 to 900 to about 16 thousand.

We have an increase of 14 percent over the two years. If we look at the compound, we have over 37 percent in the VAT section that is the share of tax revenues, if we look at its history of 2024-2025 we have a 16 percent increase, and 2025-26 we have 11 percent of it, there is a VAT drop compared to the previous years. 10 workers have retired us in the first six months, but with this shortage of workers, we have managed to increase the number of controls by 37 percent compared to the previous year, 35.7 percent has increased the number of controls”, he stated. “The results do not indicate that there has only been effective increase in number. With an increase of 35.7 percent of the controls, we have increased 100 percent of the tax evasion we have found. This has not only marked the increasing efficiency of the number of controls but also the effectiveness of how businesses are controlled. The same dynamic is shown in the results of the visits. Their number is 36.97 percent compared to the previous year, which was 11,000 and 900 now number 16 thousand field visits”.

According to Hyseni, punitive measures against taxpayers have scored, down from 2,000 and 700, to 2 thousand and 500.
