He wants Hormuz to open up. If Kharg has to take this to happen, that will happen. If he decides to have a coastal invasion, it's gonna happen. But this decision has not been taken yet, said a senior administration official for Axios.
We've always had soldiers on the ground in conflicts under every president, including Trump. I know this is an obsession with the media, and I understand politics, but the president will do what is right”, a second senior official said.

Kharg, a five-mile-long coral island in the Persian Gulf, about 16 miles from the continent, is a key processing centre for Iran, through which 90% of the country's oil exports usually flow. The island was largely untouched by US-Israel attacks during the first two weeks of war.
But US President Donald Trump claimed on Saturday that the US attacks had destroyed “completely” most of Kharg Island, telling him NBC News that her army could hit the country “a few more times just for fun”.
