The event took place at a construction site, where during the concrete site, the skeleton collapsed and took them down.
Austrian authorities have launched an intensive investigation into the causes of this serious case, also seeking the possible responsibilities of this tragedy.
The principal Witness in this case is expected to be the Vance operator, who reportedly saw everything at the time of the occasion.
Though shocked, the same helped the emergency teams and firemen take off the heavy loads that had blocked the road, facilitating the extraction of the victims' bodies, the Austrian media wrote.
From the Chrone.at newspaper, another witness was interviewed who had seen the moment when the time of the calamity had occurred.
“First they were sitting on the docks and then everything collapsed”, he said.
It remains to be seen, if the Vanci operator hit the concrete bucket structure or other circumstances caused the accident, it will be determined by investigations until the crane operator is expected to be one of the most important sources of information.
The construction company, however, as reported by the Austrian media, is trying to conceal its responsibility by using a strategy.
Just a few minutes after the event, the company's website removed all links to the site in Porzellangas.
A single post was picked up by the newspaper “rone” before it was removed: its inscription on the Instagram was “we can set up construction shipyards!”, accompanied by a photo of the site. When contacted by the newspaper, the company expressed a deep “copiculation” for “tragic entry”.
Meanwhile, according to the labour inspectorate, the collapse is the second most frequent cause of accidents in the workplace in the construction industry.
One in ten job accidents occur in this sector, making the construction industry more at risk to employees. According to the Austrian Workers' Compensation Board (AUVA), in 2024 in Vienna there were 2478 workplace accidents compared to 2665 in 2023.
Work inspectors focus mainly on protection from falling and controlling scavenging. Last year, 2769 construction companies were surveyed in Vienna. Controls also include verification of cranes and construction establishments, and any shortcomings are reported to relevant companies. /Periscope
