KFOR has responded TIMES Regarding calls to social networks by citizens of Serbia who have called on Iran to strike the American base in the Middle East along with attacks on American bases in Kosovo.
“Forca and KFOR's position are revised and adjusted periodically, until circumstances evolve, so the mission remains suitable for its purpose. Currently, there are no significant changes in the review of”, KFOR's response reported.
In response, KFOR has said that the United States of America continues to play a key role under the NATO-led mission, with about 600 troops deployed in Kosovo. It mostly has Italy, with more than 900 sosh. In all, there are more than 4600 KFOR troops in Kosovo.
In posts published on the “X” platform, but also “Telegram” accounts in the Serbian language have distributed the coordinates of the American military camp Bondsteel, with messages like: “Here's another American base! Thank you in advance”.
In the Kosovo Defence Ministry, they have declared for TIME that they have not accepted any official information regarding these calls.
Although there is no official position on any direct or indirect implications of Kosovo in the recent military clashes in the Middle East, the Kosovo Security Council has been meeting Saturday evening. According to a Government communique, recent developments in the Middle East are being discussed at meetings, and it is stressed that Kosovo institutions are carefully conveying situations, standing firm alongside strategic friends and allies, particularly the United States of America. /Periscope
