Mitrovica event: Attempted to avert 21 properties, three persons arrested

An attempt on illegal alienation of 21 real estate has been prevented in Mitrovica, following a co-ordinated action between the Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica and the Kosovo Police.
The first doubts are related to the use of forged documents in order to obtain a notial authorisation for trading property found in the name of another person.
According to the Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica, investigative actions have prevented completion of procedures for drafting and confirmation of notial documentation, as differences in identifying data and doubts about the authenticity of the submitted documents have been recorded during verification.
“As a result of co-ordinated operational and investigative actions, it has been prevented from completing procedures to ensure noperial documentation, which allegedly aimed at against illegal alienation of twenty-one (21) real estate”, the prosecution's announcement said.
According to initial investigations, suspected persons allegedly used a forged identification document and other support documentation to ensure the drafting of a no-veal authorisation that would enable them to access properties registered on behalf of another owner, without knowledge and without his consent.
The suspected counterfeit document contained personal records of the property owner, but the picture of another person allegedly prepared to appear at the notary with false identity and sign the proper authorization.
After the authorities' intervention, three people have been arrested and interviewed. By order of the State Attorney, the 48-hour ban has been imposed on them, while documents, electronic devices, one vehicle and other evidence have been seized for criminal procedure.
During the search on one of the suspects' property, investigators have found numerous property documents, civil documents, copies of identification documents, contracts and other documentation on behalf of different persons.
“Determination, authenticity and the purpose of using these documents will be the object of further investigation”, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Mitrovica has announced.
Kosovo's prosecution and police have stressed that they will continue investigating cases related to the counterfeiting of documents, misuse of administrative and notary procedures, as well as protecting citizens' property from efforts to illegal alienation./ Periscope.
