Police: This year there are 62 cases of fires

Fires in forests and fields in Kosovo have become a recurring problem during the hot summer months. Each year they cause considerable damage in the environment and property, endangering the lives of citizens. Police have called on citizens to avoid any activity that could cause fire and report immediately to authorities about any suspected person involved in the fire.
In addition to the damage on agricultural land, the lighting of fires also adversely affects nature and air quality, endangering health.
Even connoisseurs of emergency cases have said that among the main causes of mass fires is the human factor, as temperatures and droughts cause the fire to spread rapidly.
“The temperature is high, and it's enough to light a fire, so we all have to be careful to have as little fire and damage”, said Tahir Ahmeti, expert expert expert.
According to the Kosovo Police, 227 cases of arson have been recorded during the past year alone, while 62 cases have been recorded during this year. Police have warned they will take legal measures against all persons who, either deliberately or carelessly, risk the lives and property of citizens. /Periscopi/
