Kosovo's Democratic Youth has today carried out a symbolic action in response to an unacceptable view that was published yesterday by the Foreign Affairs Ministry environments, where a photo of former President Hashim Thaci was thrown to the ground in a room filled with items.
” This move is not only disrespectful to a former president of the Republic of Kosovo, but also a low attempt to relativise and erase an important part of our state history”, said among other things in the PDK's announcement.

Kosovo's Democratic Youth has today carried out a symbolic action in response to an unacceptable view that was published yesterday by the Foreign Affairs Ministry environments, where a photograph of President Hashim Thaci was thrown to the ground in a room filled with items.
The move is not only disrespectful to a former president of the Republic of Kosovo, but also a low attempt to relativise and erase an important part of our statehood.
Through today's action, Kosovo's Democratic Youth posted a photograph of President Hashim Thaci, accompanied by some of the key moments of his political and state travel: by student leader, co-founder of The KLA, the leader of the Albanian delegation in Rambouille, to the prime minister of statehood and president of the Republic of Kosovo.
The message was clear: Photos you can shoot, but history cannot be erased.
The history of Kosovo cannot be rewritten according to everyone's political preferences. The contribution to Kosovo's freedom, independence and statehood is documented in sacrifice, in historic decisions and in the journey of our people towards freedom.
Kosovo's Democratic Youth believes that the Republic institutions should be spaces that honour the history and contribution of those who have served for the country, despite political beliefs.
Because the history of Kosovo is greater than any attempt to erase it. Especially the personality and contribution of President Hashim Thaci.
