Orav in late March leaves EU Office chief in Kosovo to take on new role in Ankara

The chief of EU diplomacy, his fellow citizen, Kaya Kallas, as Gazeta Express's sources reveal, is expected to engage him in the post of EU Delegation chief in Turkey.
Aivo Orav had taken office as head of the EU Office in Kosovo on September 2nd, 2024. Thomas Szunyog had served before Ora in Kosovo.
Ambassador Aivo Orav is a Estonian diplomat with over 30 years of national experience, at the EU level, in diplomacy and EU affairs.
“With great satisfaction and a deep sense of responsibility I am taking the post of EU Office chief/EU Special Representative in Kosovo, an important EU partner in the Western Balkans. I pledge that I will work side by side with the local and international EU partners in Kosovo to advance our diplomatic and political relations, consolidate the EU's position as investor, trade partner and Kosovo's largest donor, and support Kosovo's path towards the EU and EU-related reforms”, Ambassador Orav said on September 2nd 2024.
