“Of course we have welcomed the Constitutional Court's decision for temporary measures, believing that a decision could otherwise create consequences that would be difficult to recover. We expect the Court to deal with integrity and professionalism and believe that the decision will be in favour of our request. ”, she said.
LVV Parliamentary Group head Nagavci said they respect the Constitutional Court's decisions.
There is a situation where, from what we've seen from public positions, as there's rarely been a unity among the community of experts, jurists, former judges of the Constitutional Court, as well as professors of constitutional law, who consider that this decree conflicts with the Constitution. So we believe that the decision will be in favour of our request. But beyond that, of course, we have respected the decisions of institutions before, in this case even of the Court.”, Nagavci declared in Rtv21, broadcasts Periscope.
Nagavci believes there is still room for talks on finding a consensus on electing the new president.
“We believe there is still room for reconciliation and to find a suitable solution to overcome this crisis we currently are in. A period of 59 days, which would be available for reaching a consensus, can positively affect this. ”
