Kurti: No consensus candidate, no political agreement for president

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, after meeting with LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku, said there has been no consensus figure or political agreement for Kosovo president, while communication with parties will continue to achieve a result. He also told the media that LVV will likely propose candidates for prime minister, having 30 signatures, including those of minorities.
He added that even the opposition could propose candidates, and that the Constitution requires avoiding new elections.
“You are aware of the last he5 he5 with 65 deputies tried to elect prime minister, it didn't become possible, and now we're not just 5 deputies away, we're 14 making the situation more difficult. As LVV we are able to extract a candidate because we have 30 signatures, along with minorities, we can also extract two candidates. So even the opposition can issue candidates. The Constitution compels us to avoid elections so that we do not go to elections. Conditions are ideal for us to have three candidates while there are none.
I'll continue to communicate, so tomorrow, even tomorrow, we can get to the result. So far there is nothing new, consensus figure, and we don't have a political agreement. Especially since the PDK was told the proposal should be party. It's like tomorrow and tomorrow, even then, to see what I can do”, Kurt said.
