Kurti alarmed the paramilitary exercises near the border, KFOR: We were informed by the Serbian Army, they are a threat to security

Regarding these statements by Prime Minister Kurti have spoken by KFOR for Gazette Express, indicating that Serbia had informed KFOR of maintaining such training in the village of Muhovc.

KFOR has said such activity has been carried out on Serbia's territory and risks regional security or stability.

“We can confirm that KFOR was informed that the Serbian Armed Forces (FAS) would carry out a planned training activity involving parachutists deployed by a helicopter in the village of Muhovc, Serbia. This is a routine activity conducted within Serbian territory and poses no threat to security or stability in the region”, a KFOR spokesman has told Express.

This spokesman has said that the NATO-led <x2FOR Mission continues to monitor the situation closely along the Administrative Border Line and all over Kosovo, maintaining continued communication and effective co-ordination with local security authorities and the Chief of Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces. KFOR remains fully committed to implementing its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to ensure a secure (SASE) environment and freedom of movement for all people living in Kosovo, at any time, in part, and in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the EU Mission for Rule of Law (EULEX), in their respective roles as security reactors”.
