The country's Prime Minister Albin Kurti during the meeting of the Council General of Vetevendosje, as expected, has discussed the president's issue. Kurti has said that in his conviction, Professor Murat Yashar, who is born of the Jashar family emblems, would be the right choice at the right time for president of the country.

Kurti has also said that even meetings with the opposition on the issue have been constructive and that a figure by the Jashar family would have the support of all political parties.

After the government's formation, we have begun intensive commitment to this process, as very few days left to elect the president/president. I'm very aware that the Vetevendosje Movement alone does not have numbers, does not have 80 votes. That's why I invited two opposition party leaders to the meeting. Meetings have been constructive. Initially, there was an compatibility the country needs a unifying figure. Such an indisputable figure would, of course, be a candidate from the Yashari emblems family. My conviction has been and remains that a figure like Professor Murat Jashari would have the support of all political parties”, Prime Minister Kurti has said.

The General Council of the Vetevendosje Movement has gathered during today, where the president's case is envisioned. So said Prime Minister and LVV chairman Albin Kurti, after a meeting he held Saturday with PDK chairman Bedri Hamza.

Kurti said the previous day that in the LVV General Council, the president's case will be discussed, but linked to “partisan proposals”. In a statement to the media after meeting with the chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Kurti has said that “when there is no possibility for political agreement for consensus proposals, then there will be party proposals”. He has said that “party proposals will soon come to terms”.

He has declared he does not yet have a consensual name for president of the state, while he has said he hopes there will be a race for the post next week.

The current president, Vjosa Osmani, also the professor and former delegation from PDK ranks, Arsim Bajrami, have announced their candidacy for the president's post.
