Kosovo has marked the highest inflation rate in the Balkan region for February 2026, according to data published by the Kosovo Anatolian economic platform Kos Data.
According to these data, inflation in Kosovo has reached 6%, placing the country at the top of the list of countries in the region for price hikes.
After Kosovo, several other countries in the region are ranked with markedly lower inflation rates:
Croatia 3.8%
Bosnia and Herzegovina - 3.6%
Bulgaria 3.3%
Montenegro ʹ 2.9%
Northern Macedonia . 2.9%
Slovenia ʹ 2.9%
Greece 2.7%
Albania 2.5%
Serbia ʹ 2.4%

The figures show that Kosovo has almost double inflation compared to some countries in the region, reflecting a greater pressure on rising prices of products and services.
Inflation directly affects the cost of living citizens, as rising prices especially affect basic products, energy and services.
Meanwhile, economic experts continue to stress that inflation control and price stability remain one of the main challenges for the country's economy. /Periscope
