Arabic-language spokesman i IDF, announced that a wide wave of air attacks “is under way. The attacks followed about an hour after the Israeli Army issued an urgent “warning” for residents of the southern suburbs of Beirut and for dozens of villages, urging them to evacuate.
According to the IDF, targets include command centres and weapons depots belonging to Hezbollah. The military warned citizens to stay away from buildings connected to the organisation, stressing that anyone close to them risks their lives.
Meanwhile, thick clouds of black smoke have been seen over Beirut rising in the sky of the early morning hours, while Reuters news agency reported strong explosions heard in the area. /Periscope
