Inflows, spending increases, deepens financial gap in the country

According to the AKS at TM4 2025, total revenues reached 920.4m euros, while at TM4 2024 stood at 941.6m euros, marking a 21.2m euros drop. Most of the revenues make up product taxes (70.7 %), followed by income income taxes (14.0 %) and financial operations and obligations (6,2 %). The rest has been distributed into other categories of income.
Meanwhile, government spending has marked increases during this period. At TM4 2025 they reached 1170.8m euros, while the expenditures at TM4 2024 amounted to 1134.0m euros, increasing for 36.8m euros.
The spending structure is dominated by social contributions and benefits (27.5 %), the compensation of workers (20,2 %), the formation of gross capital (18,3 %) and the middle consumption (13.5 %). The remainder of the expenditures is distributed into other budgetary categories. /Periscope
