His comment came after he was asked about the call US President Donald Trump conducted yesterday with Russia's Vladimir Putin, CNN reports, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
Hegseth described the conversation as a <x0 call”, which he hoped to reaffirm “the possibility for a little peace” in Russia's war with Ukraine.
He said the call also reaffirmed “a recognition that, in terms of this conflict, they should not be included”.
