Gezim Bimbashi resigns from RTK Workers Union position

Gezim Bimbashi has resigned from the position of chairman of the RTK Workers' Union. Through a media communiqué, Bimbashi has said that this decision is not linked to any conflict or external reasons, but as a result of his energy fatigue and concentration in his career as a journalist. He has said [...]
“over the decade that I've been part of this task, we've been working together to protect workers and RTK. We have faced challenges, reacted to injustice, participated actively in commissions and meetings with institutions, represented the Union at regional and international forums, organised communiques and protests when there was a need, and conducted social and humanitarian activities for members. Hundreds of communities, meetings, activities and representations are evidence of our joint work”, Bimbashi wrote.
He has said that this union has shown that it is an example of union organisation in Kosovo and remains important authority within the institution.
For this reason, I appeal to all my colleagues, including those who are not yet part of the Union, to embrace and support, because only united can have real weight and protect the dignity of workers. Thank you for your faith and cooperation all these years. I hope this decision will enable the Union to continue its journey with new energy and even stronger results”, he wrote.
