According to the announcement, all regular and urgent consular terms have been cancelled.
Beirut and parts of southern Lebanon have been hit by Israeli attacks in recent days.
Israel says they are countering the attacks by Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based group backed by Iran.
This announcement comes after the closure of another American embassy, in Kuwait, as well as the diplomatic mission in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after being hit by fear.
The United States also evacuated the embassy in Jordan on Monday after several explosions were heard near it.
