A fire of considerable size has fallen on this Thursday evening at a palace on “Ali Demi” Street in Tirana.
According to preliminary information, flames have included the first floor of the building in still unclear circumstances, while fire has spread rapidly, causing panic among local residents.
As a result of the fire, an disabled old man identified as Theodhor Lula, 72, has passed away. Death is alleged to have resulted from smoke asphyxia.
Fire crews have arrived at the scene immediately, which have committed themselves to neutralising the flames, while ambulances have also been deployed in any emergency case.
Police Notification
“Around 21:20, on the “Ali Demi” street, on the first floor of Th citizens' flat. Lee, 72, there's been a fire. As a result, the 72-year-old has allegedly lost his life.
The investigative group is on the scene and is working on the definition of the cause of the fire crash and full clarification of the circumstances of the case”, police report.
