According to Blerim Sa God of the Vetevendosje Movement, opposition MPs should enable the election of the president, regardless of which candidate the LVV can propose.
After midnight, Sauni wrote on Facebook that the non-recognition of 2/3 of MPs to the vote of “marks the Constitution”.
If the first guard doesn't vote 2/3 of the deputies for the president's election, the first guard will be invalid. Thus, it cannot be made to the second round”, he wrote.
The non-participation of the appointed number of deputies in the vote, which constitutes the quorum, of course, violates the Constitutional Court Constitution and the judicial practice of”, Sa God added.
According to Tii, the “deputs are obliged to participate in the vote in order to apply directly and overall the country's presidential election procedure”, the Express reports, Periscopi broadcasts.
Even Prime Minister Albin Kurti himself said Monday after a meeting with LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku that Constitution “obliges MPs to vote”.
That same day, the chief speaker Albulen Haxhiu said the same thing.
It's important that you have 80 votes in the box in the first two rounds, and that third is 61. Let all parties be constructive. So, no proposals or no tendency to block the president's election. The Constitutional Court's Act requires that all deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo be present and vote. So the demand that should be 80 votes is related to this: so, because the Constitutional Court has forced MPs to be at the level of their responsibility, so to be present and vote”.
Kurt and Obadiah met again yesterday, for the third time, on the president's case. At this meeting, Kurti was reportedly presenting his idea of going to the Assembly with Glauk Konjufka presidential candidate.
That Kurti is aiming to propose the unilateral and without any agreement, was somehow confirmed by a yesterday reaction by LDK MP Janina Ymer, who spoke of “cension with blackmail, with threats”. He said Kurti is also using this method of electing the president and added that she is not subject and that Konjufca should not take this post.
Among LVV members and deputies who spoke of the opposition's obligation to stay in the Assembly Hall and vote, Mefail Bajci indicated.
The “Oposor should not block the process for electing the president. Opposition deputies should stay in the hall and take part in the president's vote. Boykot is not a choice of participation and votes are constitutional obligation”, he wrote yesterday in a Facebook post.
