This is the first time a British aircraft has dropped a threat since the beginning of US and Israeli attacks on Iran, reports BBC.
Royal Air Force had deployed a Typhoon team in Qatar earlier this year, while tensions in the region rose.
The British Defence Secretary has made it clear that the increased presence of the British Army in the region is to protect United Kingdom forces and interests and that the United Kingdom is not participating in US-led attacks.
RAF planes have carried out defensive patrols from Qatar and RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus since the launch of military attacks by the US and Israel.
British authorities are working to formulate plans to potentially evacuate their citizens from the Middle East, yet this seems impossible in the short term, as airspace in the region remains closed.
British citizens passing through Dubai and Doha have been advised to stay inside safe places and avoid travel abroad whenever possible.
About 76,000 British citizens in the Middle East have been registered in the British government's scheme. Most of them are vacationers at United Arab Emirates, or transit travellers, at the main Emirat airports.
The scheme “register your presidency” allows British citizens in Bahrain, Israel, Kuwait, Palestine, Qatar and United Arab Emirates to receive direct information from the Foreign Ministry.
