Fadil Berjan, chairman of the Kosovo Oil Association, warns citizens of possible consequences on the local market.
According to him, the global situation is immediately reflected in Kosovo prices.
We can't predict tomorrow. This could happen to us in Kosovo,” said Berjani.
He made it known that today prices in Kosovo for dysel are 1,555,65 euros per litre, while gasoline is sold 1,27%1.30 euros per litre.
The “remember that the situation across the globe is the same and has grown because of the war,” he added.
Berjan also made a comparison with countries in the region, showing that Kosovo is not one of the most expensive.
North Macedonia's “has 22 cents lower, because it is the price there, otherwise we have the same prices. Compared to Serbia, Montenegro and Albania, we have the lowest prices in the region”, he said of FrontOnline, Periscope.
He also provided suggestions for citizens to cope with price hikes.
When there are such prices, let citizens use public transportation and there's a problem. This situation could last until there is a war stop agreement” said Berjan, warning that this situation could last until an agreement prohibiting conflict is reached.
The war increased the prices”, Berryani said.
