Thanks to its long track, this base is likely to house the three types of American Air Force bombers: B-1, B-2 and B-52.
Since the beginning of US attacks on Iran on 28 February, B-52 bombers and B-1 have been seen on this base, Reuters reports.
A resident of Down Ampney village, located just a few miles from the base, has told the BBC that the entire house trembles” whenever the planes cross the area.
