An embassy spokesman in Pristina told Free Europe Radio that close military co-operation between the two countries is helping the KSF achieve self-sufficientness and position Kosovo as significant contributors to regional and global stability.
The United States fully supports the 10-year transition of KSF to a multiethnic, professional and interactive territorial protection force with NATO”, the spokesman stressed, adding that this process is in line with US security interests.
The transformation of KSF began in 2018, following the adoption of relevant laws in the Kosovo Assembly.
