K E The SCO is honoured with the Social Influence and Entrance Award, shared by CSR Network Kosova, at a solemn ceremony attended by representatives of local and international institutions, as well as the business community.
The award was accepted by Rudina Heroi Puka, KESCO Deputy Executive Chief Chief, which stressed that this assessment represents a confirmation of the company's long-term commitment to social responsibility, inclusion and sustainable development.
This assessment is not just an appreciation for our work but a testimony that social responsibility, when built with dedication and vision, creates real and long-term change in society. For us, CSR is not an additional function but, it's the way we do business and build trust with citizens,” said Mrs. Heroi Puka.
As a company providing over 700 thousand consumers in Kosovo, KESCO is present at every home and institution. This position gives the company a unique role and great social responsibility, not only to supply electricity but also to contribute to awareness, education, and improved quality of life in the community.
KESCO engagement includes:
- The signing of UN Women's Strengthening Principles as the first company in Kosovo with this public commitment to gender equality;
- A governing structure where 50% of the Steering Board and over 70% of the managerial positions are held by women;
- Publishing the Stability Report, among the first in the energy sector, in line with international standards;
- Investments in youth education, learning and professional practices;
- Support for women entrepreneurs and promotion of their products in the chain of value;
- Continued awareness campaigns through energy bills and communications channels for social issues, including equality, the fight against violence and health awareness;
- Promoting energy efficiency and savings as a contribution to a more stable Kosovo.
In addition to institutional initiatives, ECCO employees volunteer to concrete activities such as cleaning up public spaces, blood donation, solidification with needy families, as well as daily practices for saving energy, water and materials.
This award was shared by a professional jury, praising the ECCO's continued commitment to social responsibility and involvement.
This gratitude belongs to over 240 of our employees, who daily contribute professionalism and empathy to build a more fair company and a more inclusive society. It's an honor, but also a motivation to continue with the same commitment,” concluded Mrs. Heroi Puka.
